The Ultimate Spa Day at Carden Park Hotel
Arriving early in the morning, we were quickly checked-in and escorted to fabulous changing rooms where we were equipped with a soft robe and slippers. The spa our oyster, we decided to begin the day with a coffee and a pastry in the Elements Restaurant before heading outside for a dip in the hot tub.
Following our dip we grabbed our robes and headed for the bar, ordering a bottle of our favourite Rosé Bollinger and catching up over a glass of this fine fizz in one of the brilliant, heated pods.
At 1:30pm we headed back up to the elements bar for a healthy, and with panoramic views and food prepared with fresh and local produce, the lunch was nothing short of amazing. Ordering from the lunch menu, I opted for the Thai Sweet Chili Salad with a side of sweet potato fries and a sticky toffee pudding dessert, washing it all down with a crisp bottle of Rosé Bollinger.
After an afternoon spent lounging by the indoor pool, enjoying an experience shower and trip to the sauna, we were each taken off to our own private treatment rooms where we were given a choice of one of five treatments as part of our package – A Rejuvenating Facial, Rejuvenating Ritual, Foot and Scalp Ritual, Soothing Hand or Foot Ritual or a Shimmering Body Ritual…
With the Rejuvenating Ritual including both a mini facial AND massage, I simply could not resist. Boy was it a treat, as promised I came away feeling recharged and rebalanced – ready for another round in the sauna. The products used were from one of my favourite brands – Oskia and I would recommend their Renaissance cleanser to anyone seeking a versatile and well-rounded product.
Come 5pm my heart was full of content, and I felt a million dollars, just what I needed ahead of my birthday and an evening at the Russian State of Siberia Ballet as part of my Valentines gift – another experience I would highly recommend for anyone looking for something new to do.
